These terms cover your use of Squeak, an app made by Maty Michalsky (“we”). By using Squeak, you agree to them. They’re short, so please read them.

Using Squeak

Squeak helps you decide what to delete from your iPhone and, if you connect them, from Gmail and Google Drive. Squeak only deletes, moves or changes what you choose. Look over your choices before you apply them: you’re responsible for what you delete.

What you can get back

Squeak doesn’t decide what can be recovered, or for how long. That’s up to Apple and Google, and their rules can change.

  • Photos and videos go to the Recently Deleted album in Photos. You can recover them from there until Photos deletes them for good.
  • Emails go to Gmail’s Trash, and Google Drive files to Drive’s Trash. You can restore them from there until Google deletes them for good. Archived emails are still in All Mail, labels can be removed, and files you moved can be moved back.
  • Contacts you merge or delete can’t be brought back from Squeak. If your contacts sync with iCloud, you may be able to restore an earlier version at iCloud.com.
  • Unsubscribing can’t be undone from Squeak, and an unsubscribe email can’t be unsent.

You can undo recent swipes in Squeak. Anything removed from Recently Deleted or from a Trash is gone for good, so if something matters to you, keep a backup.

No warranty

Squeak is provided “as is”. We work hard to make it reliable, but we can’t promise it will always work as expected or be free of mistakes.

Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, we aren’t responsible for any loss of data, or any other loss or damage, that comes from using Squeak, including anything you delete or change with it. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have by law that can’t be waived.

Google and Apple

  • When you connect Gmail or Google Drive, Google’s own terms also apply to your use of those services.
  • As an App Store app, Squeak also comes under Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

Trademarks

Gmail and Google Drive are trademarks of Google LLC. Squeak isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by Google. iPhone and iCloud are trademarks of Apple Inc.

Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page. If you keep using Squeak after that, the new terms apply.
